Musically beyond all doubt, is only the dull sound a downer (therefore point deduction). Sure, for a recording from 1957 (originally in mono and not stereo) logical, but here is a good Remaster would be appropriate. Since the Neupressung the record 1988 does not change the sound you have obviously vergenommen (have with my plate from 1988 compared the CD) added only different (unpublished) Takes. That may be very interesting for music historians, but for the ordinary listener a sound modernization would be more desirable. I see it a, about one can argue about, especially since there are presumably legal reasons against the sound improvement. Had Miles Davis in this regard, a purist or modernizers? If you listen to records like Tutu, one tends more to the modernizers, right?
