Fabulous music and a beautiful editorial work, all this makes this item a must for all fans of Jazz. The sessions at the Village Vanguard are in the middle of the meteoric trajectory Coltrane. He finally found his own language and it opens the way to Free Jazz as his accomplice in his historical evenings, Eric Dolphy. Just over a year after the sessions of "My Favorite Things" and a few months before the first studio sessions with the classic quartet Tyner, Garrison-Jones, Coltrane is at the top of his art and the harmony with Elvin Jones already clearly noticeable. The title "Spiritual" (which occurs in the original LP) announces his masterpiece "A Love Supreme". Extreme sound explorations are still relevant and in fact we do s' not complain. These sessions are likely to gather all music lovers.
