a new saga to discover

Another Angie universe I just close and I am already looking forward to read more. The cover I decided from the outset and fully meet all of the work, but also the summary with a small hint of mystery that suits him well.

We will enter into the daily life of two characters whose total opposites. One, Leon Duncan, dragging a heavy weight on his shoulders, made a weight of guilt, sadness, which made him a different man. The other, Holly Wilson is the daughter of a particularly unpleasant prosecutor - I did not like the way - which has always worked behind a desk, but wants changed from "life" working in the field - against the advice of his father, you'll understand! -

When Holly arrives in the Criminal Intent, she does not expect at all to work with this handsome young man she cruised in the elevator - yes, this passage made me laugh, it was full of innocence and worthy of a woman besides ^^ - And yet, from the moment he enters the office, it makes sparks. Duncan lost her teammate, she resigned and Duke learns from the mouth of his superior, which does not delighted at all. So when Holly arrives, we can not say that he is very happy. Yet at progressively pages, a link is woven. An almost invisible link. And if everybody seems to have realized, the main protagonists push their limits. We can not say that enters the world of Care Bears. Both have a lot of character and I loved it. The tension is there. A small bubble of electricity one feels when they are in the same room. When one takes a step, the other actually two back.

Duncan and Holly have great personalities, they are not perfect, each with its own shortcomings, and it's nice. The author uses in his work a topic that always pulls at my heart: children. Police investigations are present and painful subject, but the author chooses to "fly" even if perfectly feels the emotions of our dear Duncan, the face of such violence. The pain is present and Angie describes her as it should.

Of course, the story does not revolve only around them, there are also all the others. June, Vero, Charly, Stefan - even if we do not know much about it - Addison, Jack and the others. The leagues are not confined to the office and to their apartment, there is also the place where everyone meets, where everyone laughs, tries to play matchmaker, creating new links. I loved this place, which was very rich in friendship.

And then the end comes and there I have not seen it coming. I expected to still read pages and pages and you should have seen my head when I read that it was the author bio ... - Great moment! - I said to myself that the story could not stop there, before remembering it was just ... Volume 1 but still !!

General way, I liked this first volume, rich in tension, criminal investigations are not just any and nothing but the subject touched me immensely. The author's pen is nice, she even knows his characters on stage and knows how to choose the character of each. No fancy, no frills, no unnecessary words or unnecessary situations. For a first volume, I really liked. I regret, however, that the character of Duncan is not further from the beginning, probably most disdainful. I wish that when he learns that his best friend is leaving everything and he is left alone, I wish he did not really accept his new collaborator on - I, sadistic? No Way! - Finally, I hope you see what I mean :)

I will follow with great pleasure after their adventure, for the arrival of a new character is messed and I feel I'm going to enjoy.
