This CD is a nice selection of very nice pieces. Cecilia Bartoli as always impresses us with his voice, his technical prowess "acrobatic". But this is precisely where the problem lies. Bartoli actually too much. She overplayed emotions inherent in the songs of course, but would benefit from being expressed more subtly. Each song is filled with various feats repeated often beyond reason, which ultimately away from the first emotion! It comes to be a kind of viewer who does not feel involved in music, one feels it more, we're just overwhelmed by it. Annoyance and eventually break ... It is a shame really because Bertoli has a beautiful voice and actually a good technique. Perhaps we should return to simplicity?
