Overall, I enjoyed the book.
War in Germany in full swing and Death is overworked. One day, Death meets little Liesel, who holds his attention.
The story of Liesel and all the people around him, narrated by Death in person is interesting and moving, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes hard.
One downside ... even if the insertion of German words (English version) is defensible given that history plays in Germany, at the end I became allergic, especially the word "Saumensch". Especially since it is an expression that does not use (or maybe more) in German. And unfortunately it ruined a bit the pleasure of reading.
For those who loved the writing style, I also recommend "I am the Messenger" by the same author. A wonder.
