This short novel (he reads in 2 or 3 hours) tells the journey of Yann, a boy of ten tiny and silent years up one day in the night his six brothers, three pairs of twins to flee their homes after hearing their father threatened to kill them. So begins an incredible journey narrated by six brothers or one of the many people (the social worker, the truck driver, the policeman, the daughter of the train, ...) they grow on their way to their destination Final: the ocean. Real Tom Thumb, Yann guide his brothers in this adventure and we are blown away by the courage of his seven children. This novel is very interesting because all the protagonists take turns telling a passage of history with their own perspective and their own language, which gives a funny and realistic aspect to this touching story.
