With Ghost Town Madonna presents not only the now second single from her album Rebel Heart, but also shows the soulful character of their current disk that is full of such ballads. One might think that Madonna was going with this song to play it safe, because it is so conventionally applied as a Hollywood production. The verses that draw a post-apocalyptic world, act melodically very quiet and Branden ultimately in a strong chorus to more than dedication to the loved ones in this terrible world with the typical sing-along character for which it is known. An unobtrusive beat then joins also added, which makes the whole thing around and ensures the pop catchiness.
The second track has a total contrast program for album version. The five-minute remix of Don Diablo alienated the basic form of Ghost Town and turns the ballad issued a gepitchtem singing techno number, which is extremely unusual to listen and causing many fans certainly an outcry. Better remixes of Madonna's really all.
--- To --- CD single
Actually, I could copy my assessment of the first 2-track single LIVING FOR LOVE directly to this place and leave me again about what it is for an absurdity that CD singles are virtually extinct. It is completely understandable that physical publications in the age of downloads will no longer be produced to a high degree, but just performers with large pendants circles like Madonna should spendieren decent remix EPs.
It would have been much more in it. To Madonna a veritable remix culture is similar to the case of Depeche Mode emerged in which many DJs feel compelled to make playful new creations from their songs. For example, there Ghosttown another official remixes, like the thrill and the REMIX DIRTY POP REMIX that Madonna has released under her own name on the Internet. Would it really have been too much, even taking these these remixes on the CD single?
And anyway, there is still massive titles that have fallen at the final tracklisting of REBEL HEART under the table. Fans have been hoping that the advance announced QUEEN song appears as a B-side on the Ghosttown single, but this plan had not had apparently ...
--- Conclusion ---
Madonna Ghost Town is a representative of the soulful side of their current board REBEL HEART, which was created very conventional and therefore many pop fans should go to the ear.
Who would not buy the corresponding album and anyway would only make this item in his CD collection, is well served by the meager 2-track single. Since we fans can be satisfied due to the weak sales of Rebel Heart that Ghosttown was yes even released physically on CD and is so far offered no alternative with more tracks (maybe Universal UK published so as LIVING FOR LOVE unceremoniously a CD Single with four titles ?!), I prefer in this case from only a star of the overall standings. I think a possible third single is always brought only digitally to the audience.
