Eagerly I expected Roger Cicero's new album. Already "men stuff" had convinced me after initial skepticism. Completely. And it came to "and". Song number 13, I'm with you tonight, now sounded to me for days and weeks in the ear after Sat.1 had chosen him for his Christmas promos. So had the album finally ago.
What can I say. Fantastic.
Classic swinging, as one would expect, it starts "The list" with. A title for toe-tapping, Mitschnipsen, just swing with. "She wants it now time" made me laugh heartily, especially those foreign word acrobatics is divine and leaves you wanting more, although the title by less than swing more to Carnival in Rio, but who cares, it's just amusing.
A few tears in his buttonhole come with "What do you dream at night" and "I'd have loved to say goodbye", which I personally find very nice and touching. Just to sit back and enjoy and the latter to think about the family, the parents - that sometimes simple is not always as much time as you would like.
"Take your guy back," and "All the furniture crazy" let a wonderful smile, "Good Friends" (unfortunately) quite true and also "No Dinner" sounds to life, better can hardly meet mans.
And the rest of the album is fun and can sometimes think. Rogers song selection is once again absolutely first class, I think, and again makes you want more.
My personal favorites are "What do you dream at night," "She wants it now time", "I'm with you tonight" and "I would have so liked to say goodbye yet."
All in all, gives again a little joie de vivre, color in the dreary everyday life and actually it's a bit like the big "Ol 'Blue Eyes" Frankie - five minutes Roger and (almost) everything is good again.
