It's amazing that in fact even devices are manufactured, which only serve their original purpose - without any additional functions, displays, Internet access and apps. This player from Sony is such a device: It only plays CDs and DVDs, otherwise it can not. The discs, even self-burned or easily scratched, be quickly recognized and played with pleasing smoothness. The connection to a TV is possible only via SCART, the appropriate cable, however not included. HDMI or USB does not exist. The control buttons are located right on top of the player, which is a very well thought-out idea - these keys befänden namely at the front, one would push the device because of its ease each time the button jolt backwards. Pleasantly handy remote control fails, it also responds nicely fast. A player for the purist and for owners of old television.
