Catches earth, nothing else. Rather buy the cheap DIY traps!

The SuperCat trap is a Fehlkostruktion: the opening is too small and the trigger too sensitive. Therefore, the trap snaps shut already if small amounts Earth strip the trigger. Because almost every vole in fixed gears earth herschaufelt right to the trap captures exactly this earth, but the Vole is spared.

In plain English: I have 2 of these traps and solve them for months almost every day. Number of these animals: 0. Each is just earth in the case. After my property last week looked like a military training camp I have brought in a fit of rage and despair 4 of metal falling from the hardware store (cost about 3 to 4 euros), but without having any hope of success (I thought because of the positive reviews here, the fault lies with me or there is generally no reasonable case against the beasts).

But lo and behold, the next morning has been sprung one of the metal trap and caught a fat beast. And, although I have done nothing else: looking passage, uncovering with gloves the grass cover, reinsetzen and tighten the case. Using this method, I have now caught by the 4 metal traps already 3 critters, what I did not succeed with the SuperCat traps in previous months.

Although the metal cases need a little more space in the ground, but the success rate is with me at 100%: if the trap closes, even an animal is there. The leigt probably because the opening is wider and longer, and it has especially no "ground ring" as the SuperCat trap. Thus, the event is not triggered by the earth, but only by an animal that pushes away the shutter.

Conclusion: the SuperCat traps are completely ineffective and brash overpriced! Dear so buy cheap metal case for 3 euros that work great and you get several for the price of a SuperCat-trap!
