The story worked, suptile and original. Everything begins with the birth of Cahyl and discover the world of fedeylins, small adults that are living on the banks of the pond, away from another people, the gorderives.
Cahyl quickly realizes he's different. He has not received his mark on the part of the founding fathers, mark that assigns him his place in society and that determines his fate. Besides having to learn the rules of his people he will have to integrate and cope with this group cohesion that characterizes the different castes. Throughout the story the reader is witness to the evolution of cahy who questions his destiny and isolated to better preserve his secret.

We go straight into the story, mixing fragility and poetry. The reader is embedded in a quiet and relaxing world, a specific universe with its own rules, its own seasons, and pace.
This first volume provides the framework for the entire series, which will thus be operated under in the next volumes. It follows Cahyl in its evolution, doubts and choices. Overall, this book, however, lacks a little action. If Nadia Coste creates a whole universe of lightness with lots of descriptions and explanations about the people and organization, sometimes there a few laps and repetitions.
The end meanwhile appeared to me a little too brutal, as speed, even if it portends the turn of next volumes.
I recommend this book offers another universe and opens the door to a world of creatures that our imagination gives form.
