A price / performance monster

Before I grew me this machine, I had some time the opportunity to try the two-speed machine Proxxon and therefore place them opposite each other.
Processing.
Both machines are very well made and make me a strong impression. The Proxxon old was more than a year and in use. However, individual components are not very stable. The locking screw was loose down, the tube held only bad and they ran a little gruff. Since I the Record Power in return for use for only a few months the comparison is unfair. However, still sitting all perfect and it shows no signs of fatigue.
Volume
Here both take very little. I used them in an apartment and our vacuum cleaner is not really quiet.
Function.
I am very satisfied with the machine. Actually, scroll saws are indeed intended for round cuts. For just one takes band saws or circular saws. I needed for a project straight cuts through hard up to 2cm thick wood. Definitely not a task for a scroll saw is intended. With the right blade it went without problems. Results I have added.
Conclusion
In addition to a Hegner this machine would certainly ashamed pale. But as long as I erblasse at the price of a Hegner, I rejoice in this, for hobby work completely adequate, clean processed machine.
