This book of Stengers is a wonderful invitation to think the consequences of "disasters" that accumulate. Far from being yet another list of all the evils of our time, Stengers proposes ways to re-arm themselves and fight intellectually to think about these events (rather than suffer). "Our officials" teach us to be helpless, passive, to return to the roles they cut to measure for us (consumers, patients, ...). In short, it is an approach quite original and, frankly beneficial, since instead of bludgeon us every problem of our time to better crush us, Stengers accompanies us throughout a reflection rich, dense and rigorous , on how we take ownership of these issues and continue to be alive, despite everything, despite the atmosphere of "end times."
It is quite frustrating that other players are clearly gone completely off the book and also open so lapidary in few argued in their comments also.
