The Kowa and Zeiss are perfectly color corrected. Only off-axis flashes here and there by a residual secondary spectrum. The EDG and Swaro are knackscharf to the brim. The Ultravid is the smallest and lightest.
In the end I decided for the Kowa because chromatic aberration especially bother me and the Kowa is clearly verzeichnungsärmer than the Zeiss. The infamous "globe effect" I suppose true only if I explicitly make sure. A strong pincushion distortion bothers me a lot more. Add to this the filter thread, which should actually have any premium binoculars. A small disadvantage of the Kowa is the size and weight.
But as long as no manufacturer brings out a glass with the edge sharpness of the EDG, the color correction of Kowa, the contrast of Swar, the detail resolution of the Victory and the ergonomics of Ultravids, the choice is probably a matter of taste.
