The reasons are quite simple:
I was looking for a portable camera with a large opt. Zoom factor, which is also truly portable, and no need to constantly "dragged".
Since there are not so many devices on the market, which come into question.
On the technical details I will not go into here because it is already adequately described.

I've looked at the various cameras on the market, read a lot of tests on the Internet and read many reviews Amazon.
My choice is finally fallen on the TZ61, since it
a) is the winner of various tests
b) I have already had good experience with the Panasonic FZ150
c) it is the least significant in my view camera of the different models.
My requirements for my new companions were
1. Compact (must pocket watch)
2. Low weight
3. no Pastikbomber
4. large optical zoom factor min. 24 times, because I had this even before that
I'm not a passionate photographer, not a high-end users, but ordinary family man who wants to time make a nice photo with sharper and blur.
Beautiful holiday should be possible.
The TZ61 incorporates the advantages of a pocket camera with many advantages of an SLR.
For Otto Normalo you do with the TZ61 as good photos with an SLR camera, just only in your pocket.
In laboratory analysis, there are certainly differences in photo quality, which are then surely attributable to the sensor etc.
But again: for normal domestic use (holidays, family photos, landscapes, nature scenes, etc), this camera is definitely recommendable.
I guess on the high-end tests that validate what criteria, the naked eye can not detect surely the normal user.
The only negative point as compared to the FZ150 is not movable display, which is to be used under direct sunlight barely.
For this, the camera however. The only ones on the market at time of purchase available Travel Zoom camera has an electronic viewfinder, which compensates for the shortcoming
So to me an absolute buy recommendation!
