It supports WiFi 802.11 AC and thus the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The fact is backwards compatible with older standards.
The standard transmission rate (300 Mbit / s or 867 Mbit / s (for 5 GHz), 300 Mbit / s (2.4 GHz), 54 Mbit / s and 11 Mbit / s) is the physical data rate. Actual data throughput will be lower.
Installation is easy and clear interface.
It has most of the expected adjustments on a consumer router.
However,
This router is not equipped with gigabit port, but LAN 10/100 (Fast Ethernet), also for the WAN port.
This can slow exchange on the local network between machines connected by Ethernet.
Moreover, this router can not be used on a fiber optic link, as its WAN port does not exceed 93 Mbts. It is therefore more suited to an ADSL link.
It is actually equipped with USB 2.0 port for data sharing, which is a shame.
You actually go to XCA1200 to benefit from these advantages (Giga and USB3.0 ports).
I also accuses him of very limited management parental control, with only a URL management websites and absolutely no keywords.
Passable also integrated rate tests tool (Ookla) that points to an English server and therefore is not efficient.
In the end, the product is acceptable and easy to implement, but I think the low price difference with his older brother, justifies superior characteristics.
