now it is there, and I would like to leave all the other which are also uncertain a short-human description of the device:
1) Router with accessories: the router itself is slightly smaller than the speed ports of series 700, there are no Wi-Fi antennas externally visible. The housing is made of plastic, but not cheap processed as others have written here. the supplied cables, however, are cheap. Here, I then prefer to continue using my old cable.
2) Connection: connected router, device automatically made a firmware update. After that I had with the notebook via cable connected problems to come in the router config. A call to the Telekom could not solve this problem, so I went with my desktop computer via WiFi purely that went oddly immediately. The Speedport launched simultaneously with the auto-config. input data online. settings as in the previous models, despite new manufacturer no problem.
3) transmit power, connection stability: I had the router ordered because my old Speedport 701 was abgängig. the W723V has a much higher output power than Wi-Fi, the connection is pretty stable, no crashes, etc. Reports of April I can not confirm complain about miserable transmitter power so. DSL connection is maintained well, that was the old but Speedport too.
4) operation: the unit operates silently, so no buzz, squeak, etc. above the housing is slightly warm, I find but not bad. nice features are in my opinion the USB port through which you a USB stick (or hard drive) can release as network storage and the distribution of analog phones (you can connect two devices directly and then call individually, or call internally.
Conclusion: there are certainly higher quality appliances; for DSL 16k mode and Wi-Fi in the apartment but the W723V is perfectly adequate. however, would not buy it cash but at the Telekom for 3 euro / month rent because then you always current device gets and the unit is not like simply can send back (6 days notice)
