A stranger to his fate

The stranger (Paperback)

Customer Review

A brief moment of a man's life in Algeria. This begins coolly by the death of his mother, placed institute. It does not seem to feel anything, attend his funeral as an obligation. Very quickly he meets a young woman and it seems that there are his male instincts take over again. Then, during a day at the seaside which would have everything to be beautiful, it will kill a man, Arabic, in cold blood and there is jail and the trial ... where again it feels foreign.
It is the story of a man who seems to stand by and watch his life, some emotions, and his coldness contrast to the heat and sun pervades the narrative.
A short novel that reads (and reread) pleasantly, makes short sentences, dry, and finally spring, much like the protagonist stunned.
