- Reconnect:
An ingenious intro in the classic "Announcement" style, reminiscent Festival intros a la Tomorrowland or UMF.
- Resistance:
Except for the quäkigen drop an absolutely successful track. Just the break packs a punch.
- Boss Mode:
Downtempo number with dubstep elements, rap part and Vocal Cuts. Unfortunately, rather monotonous, first and second drop hardly differ, rap text repeated several times.
- EDM Machine Trend:
A rather quiet with title song, which united ironically Deep / Future House and Bigroom. Probably more likely to understand a joke track ;-).
- 404:
An underlaid with computer sounds track that is somewhat reminiscent of Internet Friends. The drop is just awesome! In the half of the song Knife Party have built an ingenious effect: It sounds as if the CD were dirty and stuck. This is followed by a short break, and the track continues after a brilliant build-up.
- Begin Again:
Classic Progressive House number with strong vocals, synths friendly and genial drop. A real feel-good track!
- Give It Up:
Dubstep and d'n'b elements Rap Part and "Bruiser" drop. Something too pompous for my taste, but still worth listening.
- DIMH:
A trimmed on old progressive house track with "Sound De-Zign - Happiness" Sample. Except for the very present Wubs and the massive drop the song might as well come from the '90s!
- Micro Penis:
Unusually early, you can hear as an alarm rings and a man wakes up, a woman's voice saying "Good Morning" and the man begins to cry while a horror film sample used and the song starts in the background. What follows are hard, gritty beats and a bit strange break. The monotonous and repetitive melody has something of Industrial.
- Superstar:
Not particularly outstanding, but still good Progressive House number, the positive mood spread. The second drop and the outro are much harder than the rest of the track.
- Red Dawn:
Oriental-influenced progressive track with a catchy, danceable beat.
- Kaleidoscope:
A very atmospheric final track. Knife Party typical breakfasts with lots of effects and samples, plus a catchy melody.
CONCLUSION:
Without exaggeration - this is by far the best EDM album of the year! Open mind me "Abandon Ship" chained from the first to the last beat, the production quality is impressive and there are (for the first time in a while) no track would really completely inaudible. KP have powerful flat out and fully convinced me with the result! I hereby speak from a strong buy recommendation :)
