- The cutting of the ribbon is certainly not the finest solution, I agree. Nevertheless, neither the manual is incomprehensible, yet is a normal human being overtaxed. Dissolve the tape from the metal shutter, it cuts and inserts it again. The whole procedure took with "reading" the illustrated manual about 10 minutes. Those who still do not understand, Polar provides a video tutorial online.
- Battery Life: several days (4-5) are realistic. Who writes here from one day, probably has a defective device. Tip: Enable flight mode - the radio connection is only required during the sync to the phone and display the pulse. So you can reduce the BT "radiation" to a minimum during the sync and jogging. Also helps the battery life.
- The absence of vibration. My Jawbone Up was there and quite frankly, it bugged me over time. Attitude to life and physical activity does not change by an hourly vibrate, but there simply is more to it. Therefore, the approach that the cell phone on request "Bitches", thus indicating the inactivity, actually solved quite nice.
- The Polar "Steps". Probably the biggest misconception: Loop does not count steps, but tries to detect activity. A step is thus not always a step, but a movement unit. Ultimately, you end up at the end of the day with a little more "Steps" than other trackers. Again: The goal is yet more of exercise a day, regardless of whether the now 10,000 or 12,000 steps are, I am interested not in detail.
- The Activity Goal: can be customized. You have to say the loop, whether you are sitting, standing or walking a day more. On this profile also Activity Goal will be adjusted - I find a good solution.
- Genial I find the activity approach. The Loop tells me: You have to still walk 2 hours or you go now 45 minutes jogging to your daily goal to achieve. This simple information motivates me hugely. If still lights up after work that I reach my destination for the day with 20 minutes of jogging, then I'll go even a run short.
- The Style factor: the Loop is stylish - more like a modern clock (with digital display) as a wristband. In my previous trackers many thought I wear a leather thong, which neither fit for my age to my visual appearance.
- The clock function: as soon a motion Gadget become the everyday object. During the day, I use almost exclusively the clock function, super solved!
- Waterproof: I take the loop while showering off again, annoys me somehow. Nevertheless, I can wash their hands without me having to worry about. Useful feature for a product that you wear every day - other trackers offer the only partially.
the biggest problems:
- I can connect either the Loop or the Polar Beat App with my chest strap Polar H7 to read the pulse - can not have both at the same time. This is caused technically through the Bluetooth standard. That is, either you get from the app while running said if you are in the right heart rate zone or you can read the pulse of the loop. Both, unfortunately, is not the same.
- On the Polar Flow website are running sessions that I have recorded with the beat app, also displayed for motion recording of the loop. You may wish to simply not to mix his training with the "normal" daily movement, but can also irritate. I would like to combine it.
Loop VS other trackers?
Why choose the Loop? It is my third Tracker and I remain first case. He will track as good as any other devices currently on the market. The ad, how many minutes do I have to jog / walk - directly for reading is awesome. The device is stylish, well made and easy to use. The pulse display a significant added value if one otherwise uses more polar products.
My Conclusion:
I wear the loop very happy, I like it - as simple clock - and he helps me better my daily exercise "monitor" to, as did other bands it interestingly better. Above all, he motivates me more. He asks me is my pulse while jogging and I can integrate it with the "new" Polar World Online. These are all points that draw a round picture. Currently for me the best learned on the market, but perhaps also because I know other products and do not appreciate the extra features, because I do not need - such as vibration alert.
Ultimately, the loop makes only one. He reminds me to move more. He makes factual and unobtrusive - I like that. Those who expect more of it (or any of one of these devices) will be disappointed because jogging is always tiring and demands the body. The band reminds me only because to do it also.
