I have had the Canon SX210 IS few days here and mainly tried under good lighting conditions. The images are very detailed and the colors are also in automatic mode very pleasant. Even indoors the camera copes quite well. The Pop Up can always manually off / be folded and therefore does not interfere. Even as a film camera, it comes off well as the zoom also works here and is not too loud. Unfortunately, the zoom on a small "handle" on the top control what I do not like so well, but is still okay. It can be used as a snapshot camera, but it can also shine with manual settings. Who wants to buy a camera of this class, should take the SX210 IS necessarily shortlisted as they heard my opinion on the top models.
Issue
From the beginning I could not get used to the housing me. The housing shape surprisingly recalls a soap bar and feels like that. Constantly I was afraid she misses my fingers and shattered on the floor. It lacks a handle on the front and the thumb rest on the dial on the back is also no safe stop. For me, the camera is thus not suitable.
