Like many young PhDs and postdocs, I decided to turn towards the private sector to find stable employment and practical applications to my work. Before reading this book, I imagined my chances of reintegration rather meager, and I even considered a repetitive training followed by an internship. This book allows to take stock of the skills acquired during the thesis, which can be transferable and recoverable to the business world (time management, project management, synthesis capacity, taking initiative etc). It's a real openness to reflection on our journey and our professional aspirations. Thanks to selected and documented examples include confidence on the ability of doctoral students to integrate successfully the business world. It remains only to jump into the water!
