I have the R7000 for some time now to replace a WNDR3700 made up for the lack of WiFi range of the Freebox Revolution. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent performance of the modem. The signal range is ideal for housing a 100m ^ 2 and CPU power is able to treat 1Gb is now available for Free (I bundle). About the features, I must admit that Netgear has made a huge effort to integrate. I had indeed refreiné a purchase of a WNDR4500 by its lack of features despite good performances. Thus, the R7000 offers the basic features that one can expect from this type of product (file sharing, DLNA server) but enriches them with advanced features: VPN gateway (OpenVPN), optimization (QoS for video games The youtube streaming, etc ...). The interface is well done and allows non agerris users to quickly configure the product. Advanced functions for their will satisfy the most demanding users.
