Schindler's List (Paperback)

Customer Review

Schindler's List - who does not know the film? is a very important book on one of the few Germans on the one can be justly proud of having done the right between 1933 and 1945. The book was the basis for the Fim Steven Spielberg and only after you've seen the movie, you can measure the size of the director and the film. The presentation, this book is anything but exciting, it is restrained emotional, emotions arise in the reader - basically not bad, but I had not seen the movie, I would not want to read the book. In some parts of the book is little more than a history book, similar to an extended excerpt from Wikipedia. If you have the film, no longer have to read the book - even if you want it then reading. To their credit, the author is, however, that he has taken up the story - before his book there was to my knowledge no other work on Oskar Schindler.
