An Island (Paperback)

Customer Review

An island is a story of survival, friendship, and love. But it is mainly a story that takes you to the guts from the first to the last page.

The first thing to say about this novel is that the two characters are simply awesome. I loved Anna as TJ, and their relationship just carried me. Namely in passing that I was a little afraid of what would happen because you still have to clarify that when the story begins Anna is 30 and not yet 17 TJ ... It has something to calm down and it can become quickly shabby all! However not only TJ is not really a teenager like any other since he has already experienced very difficult things that forced him to gain maturity faster than other boys his age, but especially the relationship between them is changing very natural and strong way. Indeed, on the island they first get to know and become friends before things will naturally evolve into something else.

I also really enjoyed this adventure with them and the author is, in my opinion, very good at making us experience and feel the situations and emotions of his characters. It is completely captivated and involved 100% in the adventure of our heroes on this deserted island. We shudder with them, we fear with them, hopefully with them, you despair with them ... So it is with them on this island!

There are beautiful moments, be it friendship or of acceptance, which are very touching and I have more than once been very moved throughout the novel. I speak very little of the second part of the novel only person spoiler, but it really is this part that really moved me. Incidents and obstacles that arise against our two main characters are heartbreaking, sometimes heartbreaking view. For me there is almost two stories with very different issues, but complementary in this novel. The first and second part. Both leave feeling much dissimilar but equally strong, so I take my hat off to the author for having created this gap which is not really one.

An island like never played with my emotions and really marked something in me. So I would advise you just go ahead and do not miss this great novel!
