Here is a short novel that reads in one! The main character of the work is a dog living in North America at the time of the gold rush. The author makes us follow the path of this animal that passes from master to master, performing each time more prowess. The account also allows us to discover the living conditions of the time, as well as those prevailing in the far north so wild and fierce. The adventure is beautiful, like the image returned by this novel back to nature, to freedom, to the roots. We find also in this a little dog Jack London, both in the many activities that could lead over his life and his character.
