The recordings were mostly from the second world tour 1979 (Wembley Arena in London), "Fernando" still comes from the first tour in Australia in 1977, during "Two for the Price of One", "Super Trouper" and "On & On & On originate "from the TV special" Dick Cavett meets ABBA "in 1981.
I like for example, "Does Your Mother Know" as a live song much better than the smooth studio version. Unfortunately, the songs were all of ABBA's sound engineer Michael B. Tretow processed when the LP was released in 1986.
With few exceptions, the public and his reactions were excised or at least greatly trimmed from. The sound was generally processed so that you can hear the voices better. Logically, there is a singer / singer sometimes indeed further from micro order is too low - or the other way round too loud.
Desirable would be a new edition, which also includes the other existing live versions, such as of "Summer Night City" or the rest of the songs which were presented in "Dick Cavett meets ABBA" 1981 live ..!
Despite this shortcoming -deswegen only four star proves "Live" the extraordinary qualities of ABBA as a live band.
