The ABL Sursum (model: 158926) is a type coupling with the voltage indication SCHUKOultra Pro Series with two-component technology (partly rubberized plastic part) and accepts wires up 3x 2.5 mm².
I use the clutch in a set with a plug Plug SCHUKOULTRA II gray / black for a 15 meter extension cable with the heavy rubber hose line H07RN-F 3G Titanex 11 2.5 mm².
================================================== ==========
Here is the explanation: H07RN-F 3G 2.5 mm²
H: harmonized management
07: 450 Volt / 750 Volt rated voltage
R: natural and synthetic rubber
N: chloroprene rubber
Q: stranded, flexible wires
3: number of wires (neutral blue, brown outer conductor, protective conductor green-yellow)
G: with green-yellow protective conductor
2.5: Cross section in mm²
================================================== ==========
The ABL Sursum is 158926, as the above connector, also perfectly finished. The bolt for opening or closing the clutch is a single 90-degree bolt (Phillips and quick release) as well as the screws inside are all cross-head screws. The insert is made Elamid, a high-strength and loadable plastic. Furthermore the clutch via a glow lamp, which indicates whether power is on the line. The glow lamp is protected by a viewing window, which on top of that has a magnifying effect.
Since the set up of my Titanex line is 11 mm thick in the outer diameter, it fits easily through the rubber grommet of the clutch. This is also large enough to accommodate cables with an outer diameter of 15 mm, depending on the manufacturer of the line set.
The Elamid-use offers more than enough space to use cable lugs / cable lugs or wire end ferrules, for example, what I have done.
Are the wires tightened, placed the bridge for cable strain relief and fixed, the clutch is put together or pushed, the screw is rotated 90 degrees and the plug turned up at the spout bottom. This compresses the tension springs on the grommet and thus holds the cable.
My conclusion: (I leave here the 1: 1 are, if someone reads only the here and not the other)
So far I have increasingly set to plugs and sockets Merten, and only isolated products of ABL Sursum. The Merten plugs and couplings are very good, no question. But there is always something that is even better. My experience is that when I do something else - in the case even better - find out, I test it and then even more than take on more projects. Just because a product is good now, it should not remain forever the. I think this view are many share it.
Very high quality clutch, complaint-free processing, self-explanatory installation. Priced very well but when it comes to working with electricity, should generally no savings.
If questions remain, as do I connect (ie crimpe) or views and opinions would be exchanged, always in the comments so. The answer comes.
