In fact, this book contains two narratives. The tale of Daniel 1 is a biting satire on the mediocrity of modern Western societies (disembodied orgies, inability to build sustainable relationships with others, opportunism, etc ...). It has also been accused of sympathy for some sects Houellebecq (no name ...). The part of the pension Daniel in Elohim is instead borrows a great insight as to the folly of such movements. The tale of Daniel 25 evokes the film Alphaville Jean-Luc Godard in which androids felt nostalgia for the old humanity. The end of the book is a piece of anthology of apocalyptic literature ... Do not trust to the reputation of the author, read his rather TEXT!
