Absolute gem with slight weaknesses!

Bin years users a compact, low profile Enermax Aurora Aluminum - Been keyboard; however I wanted but then have a little more "media" at some point; Say Shortcuts and Media buttons control like volume + keyboard illumination

However, such keyboards are too huge ala G15 and the keys have a pesky stop.

Not so the Saitek that you have to search the web only; my buddy has discovered, for example, in a department store.

The advantages are clear: Flat, space saving keyboard with flat keys laptop (great stop thanks Scissor system - like my Enermax Aurora)

Media Display (touchpad) on the right side that can represent inter alia the Numblock or other shortcuts; One can use a hint to change the volume or launch program X ... very relaxing.
So you can open with a pressure the Thunderbird or the calculator .... strange at first, but quite a relief!

Illuminated keyboard; with my Macbook has long been standard, I now also be recognized by my PC any more problems in the dark a bit.

The plastic processing is okay and quite on Logitech G15 level! Nothing creaks or wobbles, the keyboard stands straight and securely on the table.

The trackball is also very well done and react quickly; even at high resolutions no problems.

As I said, this keyboard is of a secret and I know quite a few different from their G - split keyboard to get this space-saving part.

Looks very elegant and not so prollig out on the table; I use it for office use and for gaming's.

I just opted for the wireless because the only charge is very low and you never know what the future holds ....

UPDATE 1/21/12: The battery performance has improved significantly after several charge cycles; Now the battery will last through good 20 hours

Charging via USB I can not personally recommend! Leverages the power cord which is (always lies behind my monitor) so that the keyboard is back in an hour full!

Programming works still great and the trackpad responds promptly; Dropouts, I rarely, sometimes you have to tap the trackpad 2 times because the keyboard has again put to sleep even (super interval in my opinion, after several minutes the keyboard is even in a "Fast - Off" mode)

Nevertheless, I would turn it off after each use the On / Off button!

Will the Eclipse definitely keep, wanted the wired model, but let's face it: The few Euro's more to make the carbon and non-greasy and should the battery time give up the ghost, I still have the slim Micro-USB cable here and the still thinner power cord.

The trackpad definitely need a settling-in period similar to the use of a smartphone .... but then you would never want to miss more!

Very exemplary: A few days after release there was already the Windows 8 driver to download!

PRO: My Smart TV LG LM620 S has recognized the keyboard immediately and I can place, use (even the trackball)

CONS: For me, though no buttons but solve (me unrecognizable as something to go without brute force ...) for the writing on my CTRL key.

EDIT 11:12:12:

The radio problems come with me into being through the USB wireless adapter that put next to the recipient of the keyboard.

This I have now put in the other higher-lying ports and lo and behold: The keyboard had been not a single dropout more, even with just one bar charge level.
Shields your housing / terminals or take a USB extension cable and sticks to the stick somewhere else that works wonders!

Keyboard makes me still good service and the stop makes writing mood.
