That should be by switching to LED now different. I ordered first 20 lamps of different types from the Far East: Conventional LEDs, SMD LEDs of various sizes, high-power LEDs ... Except for the high-power LEDs, the lamps were very dark, and the light was just bad. From halfway good color rendering no question! The high-power LEDs were bright, but had an angle of perhaps no more than 15 °, ie there was only one point lit all around it was dark. Again, the light color was very moderate. A particularly problematic, however, proved the power supplies of the lamps; these gifts at the latest after a few weeks the ghost! Of the original 20 lamps now light up only two. (I once extended the SMD board with the LEDs and held a 9V to the lead. The LEDs still work, but without a functioning power supply in the base of the lamp brings me nothing ...)
So I fell back on the expensive OSRAM LED Superstar R50 (formerly OSRAM R50 40). With this I had finally my first good LED experience. They are solidly built, unlike the spotlights from the Far East and have exactly the design of conventional R50 lamps on. Problems with the power supply I did not, esp. No humming. The OSRAM lamps draw 6W and are bright. However, the light is quite cold and still very focused (30 ° beam angle). Expensive they are of course.
More by coincidence I got from Amazon then this R50 spotlight here as I wanted to order another OSRAM. Encouraged by the positive reviews and the cheaper price I resorted to. And I did not regret it!
The radiator is solidly built and corresponds in design to a conventional R50 spotlight, making it even fits into my narrow lights. Of course, the "cap" above only plastic, but in practice has no impact, finally, the radiator is not hot. He needs to 5W even one watt less than the OSRAM, are but for a tremendous amount of light from. The light has a pleasant warm-white color, which absolutely corresponds to my perception of the light of a conventional filament lamp.
Unlike the OSRAM these lamps also go to immediately, there is no delay! The light is immediately there fully. Noise I hear also no, so no buzz.
The light is well distributed, but not as bad as at an energy-saving lamp, and not quite as focused as the OSRAM. The distribution corresponds to my perception of a conventional R50 lamp, so it is perfectly arranged. Only in the exact center of the light cone of LED spotlight is a little darker; the only noticeable if you really take a closer very accurate. And it also falls to with an old incandescent only in direct comparison.
Mich really only surprised that I had never heard of the company or Asuntec OK-Lights. Apparently you have to really rethink LED lamps: Seemingly unknown manufacturers build apparently really better than lamps in Germany known brand manufacturers like Philips or Osram. If you have overslept there the changing times? I for one am glad to have found this light and will further order. The long, rocky road has apparently finally found an end.
