Absolutely brilliant album of an Italian icon

It all started late 60s with the hit "La Bambola". This was followed by "Pazza idea" (which is also a German version exists), "Nel Giardino dell amore", "Car Stop" and many others.
Meanwhile Patty Pravo can look back on a long and successful career with great musical successes, scandalous appearances in Italy Sichen TV and controversial headlines in the press. It is one of Italy's big vocal icons and their latest album "Nella terra dei Pinguini" (in German "In the Land of the Penguins") is an absolute masterpiece.
Rock and Pop elements meld together with their ausergewöhnlichen voice to hymn-like ballads and soulful songs of the special class.
"Unison", "Il vento e le rose" and "Cielo" are my personal favorites on this CD great cinema for the ears and want to be heard again and again!
Patty has risen in their musical creations repeatedly to considerable heights, although she almost died in the '80s the drug death.
As representative examples here the grandiose albums "Oltre L'Eden" (1989) and "Notti guai e Liberta" (1998) may be cited.
