As AC / DC fan has of course long since all albums on the shelf. Including the Australian imports of "Dirty Deeds", "TNT" and "Let There Be Rock". Of course, these international "Let There Be Rock" here, especially this album one of the best AC / DC albums is undisputed at all. But the re-purchase of the album is worth a remastered digipack? I was curious and had to finally find out for yourself. Taking the remastered disc with the supposedly "best sound of all time" in the system, it sounds right away how the old version. Of course, the shots from the same master, of course, there are the original recordings with the original sound. The hopes that "Flick of the Switch" or "Fly on the Wall" now sound bearable, are probably gone. But in direct comparison is there yet surprisingly clear differences in quality. First, the remastered CD is louder. But obviously you do not just keep untwisted or the shooting chased by a compressor. It seems to me, as have the recordings even gained momentum. The sound itself is crisp and clear, transparent. The songs seem overall still a small trace punchier than before and Bon Scott's vocals are more present. Noteworthy are the breastfeeding. Especially with "Whole Lotta Rosie" is striking that practically hear no noise during breaks. The recordings sound clean, almost as one which is now used by the new, fully digital productions. The annoying noise has been eliminated, yet hears to even the silent detail that in the recording part (scratching on the strings for example) much better than before. By polishing the sounds so nothing is lost, on the contrary! There's really nothing to complain about the new album. The sound was very clear, "improved", but without distorting the images. The comprehensive booklet provides a lot more than in the previous version. There are many pictures, information and press releases. Unfortunately still missing lyrics. Worth buying now, if you are the old version in the CD shelf? So, I do not regret my "test purchase" But in the end you have to say but that the differences are not very large, it needs a direct comparison to be able to hear for lovers certainly desirable, but let's be honest....: We never had a reason to complain to the old version. A treat are the extras of course, to which one passes through the CD on the Internet: Rares audio material and videos. However, for a high-bandwidth connection is recommended.
