Reason of purchase was that our Panasonic LED TV though has a good, but slightly thin sound. So far we have occasionally angeschmissen our 2.1 stereo "system whose subwoofer was but the whole house to hear and feel -. Foolishly intensively in the bedroom of our children so needed a solution that enhances the TV sound, but applying not too thick ,
Commissioning went smoothly: Unpack, power supply and connect the HDMI cable and you're done! Our Panasonic TV, the Board recognized automatically, so I had to make any other settings on the TV. Thanks Viera-Link can adjust the volume with the Department of the TV. For all other settings in the Speaker board you need the small FB of the board. Since the board has a 1-line display, it can be configured easily.
For practical test: As mentioned several times, the board in the standard-setting is very bassy. Despite various sound modes, the board is booming so much that voice and speech are drowned out by the rumble of the bass. Therefore, initially was big disappointment. But after I had runtergeregelt the bass and increase the dialogue stage, it is acceptable. Fortunately, these settings are applied to all sound modes.
By design, the speaker of the board are very close together and radiate toward the couch, which is for watching TV OK (and for which the Board was indeed conceived). But as soon as one moves from the sound field of the board, the charm of a suitcase radio comes on. As a substitute for the domestic stereo system, I therefore do not recommend the Board.
Conclusion: Although the Board conjures no optimal sound, it is (after countless attempts with the Sound Settings) an enrichment, which I do not want to miss. Especially in (television) films in the sound mode Cinema "with surround effect (please do not expect too much) plays the board with us its strengths. For normal TV viewing I would not need it.
I recommend, measure the base of the TV before buying. Our 37 "TV has an oval foot that fits just so in depth on the board. For larger TV or design feet it could become scarce.
+++++
Addendum: Now it has happened. I bought a bigger TV (42 "), of course, also has a major foot and therefore no longer fits on the board There are now Panasonic Although a bigger board, but I did not stop solution:.. The TV stands under which the soundboard is on a glass TV bench nice side effect. The sound of the boards has improved (no idea if it is the new TV or on the new spatial situation).
