The Acer is characterized by a solid construction, low weight and long battery life. The matt-black design makes it look like an expensive IBM Lenovo, but for half the price.
Processor, hard drive, RAM and drive are perfectly adequate for everyday work on the Internet or (thanks to the integrated number pad) for the work with the usual Office programs. Videos run smoothly even in fullscreen mode and also for the one or the other already somewhat outdated small games Adventure sufficient graphics performance from (but please not expect miracles from the built-in Intel graphics chip expected) - but the laptop was not even conceived.
Unfortunately, a pixel error has crept in the upper left corner, which made me quite disturbed as meticulous perfectionists beginning, but now no longer be recognized under the colors of the background image in my copy.
The display is wonderfully bright (although the reviews often start at this point), and even with direct incident light texts and web pages are still visible. However, when normal work I reduce the brightness to conserve battery power and will be rewarded with maturities of up to 4 hours.
The keyboard does not rattle and shows a good pressure point, the integrated numeric keypad is simply a dream (if you look erninnert to the notebook by "Sooner").
In terms of drivers I agree partially to previous speakers. The search for the purchased laptop to the Acer page is simple and the necessary software is quickly found, but five (!!!) are alone in the Acer Extensa 5635Z page listed the various wireless drivers, which must inevitably end in a Installationodyssee , It took to find the appropriate driver and moving the WLAN to run 2 1/2 hours.
In my opinion, to understand why Acer has published so many different variations of the current model number, which contribute to the confusion of customers.
But having also had solved this problem, everything went flawlessly and still to this day without any complaints.
In addition, the notebook is very quiet and replaced the noise of my previous "engine" by a slight murmur, which after a short time was hardly taken. Due to long-term reconstruction of my home PCs to a silent PC, I can say with conviction: Diess notebook is pleasantly quiet.
All in all I would buy The Acer Extensa 5635Z anytime again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a device to operate on the Internet or for Office: STRIKE!
