Actually, a good device ... really.

Looking for a fee for an elderly Galaxy ACE2, despite long update supply never ran right around with Android 4.1, I have become aware of the new edition from S3mini. Since I did not want a huge phone and the devices are usually equipped underground in 4Zoll class, remained almost exclusively the S3mini. It offers at least 1GB RAM and 8GB memory (of which approximately 5GB are free).
The price was fair. Moving gravel was unfortunately very limited. Both the call history and the dates from the calendar remained on the sidelines, and all system settings. Thus leaving only the contacts, messages and mails.

After the usual 2-3 hour long orgy device (including Apps deactivate far as it goes ... uninstall is not possible) then it felt almost like the old Galaxy ACE2 on. Just a bit faster.

Here, the positive / negative list.
++ The AMOLED display is top notch. Since no IPS display comes ran.
+ Extremely long standby time (limitation see below) despite a small battery.
+ The entries are very precise and without delays.
+ The phone fits comfortably in your hand and fits into any (pants / jacket) pocket.
+ SD card slot, replaceable battery
+ For the price range good hardware equipment
- Occasional stuttering in the surface.
- Poor reception (modem) Where another (middle-class) has always full device rash that varies S3Mini strongly to "no power"
- Very slow WiFi (after last update better)
- Limited settings: No battery indicator in%, in the notification area may be only 5 of 14 hotkeys Hide (who can be as please think of something ?!)

Recently I recorded the latest update (OC1 / DBT). In order for the wireless speed has risen to normal levels. After all.

Unfortunately, I must first return the instrument now. It has a (battery?) Defect. After several hours / days of operation time, the device is made all at once and can not be turned back. When it loads then, it's back. A look at the battery indicator revealed a critical flaw here. Because the battery is from another on the moment no charge. This may fall from just 30, 50 or even 85% in the next moment to 0%. So you never know if the phone the next time it is still usable, though in fact the battery should have enough juice.

4 stars for the excellent value for money and a star deduction for the defect. I hope that can be repaired.
Otherwise, the phone is a good low-budget companion.
