The product itself is quality, whether it is from the hardware (to a lesser extent) of the software. It is very quiet and energy efficient.
After repeated inquiries with the telephone support it is so that in case of failure of the single controller but a complete data loss is possible. This could avoid although in that one drives in RAID 1 (what I do so), and then protect your disks in a Linux system, so you could copy again.
But this is not the intention. Even the WD consultant said that it was therefore better to buy two single housing. But there are no loud WD software for Mac or Windows to the two separate disks in RAID1 mode to drive.

PS Time Machine is incredibly slow at initial setup. According to WD, the problem lies with Apple (which is probably true) I have so far not found a solution to this problem.
