But now to the box and it was truly in itself. Even as a big fan for many years I have only considered whether I should really spend so much money for a single album. When the postman then delivered that part were eliminated my doubts.
Once before the size of the box is the hammer, the box has something in the proportions of a LP and is approximately 8 cm high. You will open the very stable box, then there is first of all a kind of certificate at the top with a serial number. Among them is the first illustrated book in the size of the box. In it there are great shots of the band by Anton Corbijn which are held mostly in black and white. There are also some color photos in the book of the title "Voices and Images of the Universe" bears. There are also in all texts to the album, with the lyrics of bonus tracks with it are. Then there is a packet of postcards that I have not opened up today. Then a poster of the album cover is just like two buttons on the new album. One of the band's initials, and even with the album cover. Then there's another book, which in terms of size exactly half as large as the first. These contain a lot of pictures from the studio during the making of the album. Then one should not remember the 3 CDs and the DVD are probably the main reason for the purchase of course.
On the first CD is the ordinary album. The second CD includes some bonus tracks that did not make it on the album and a couple of remixes of album songs. Of the 5 Bonus Tracks nearly everyone is interchangeable with a track on the album and each has its qualities. With it has especially the first track "Light" (here stands at Amazon "Little Light", but this is incorrect) done, which sounds like 80s synth pop in its purest form. On the third CD, some are demo versions of past and current songs. Some of them I find horrible (I feel you), others very good (Nothings Impossible). The DVD is really a gem and there are both the album in 5.1 as well as about 130 min material on the disc. In addition to the video for "Wrong" there's a very good report, entitled "Making the Universe" and another documentary with a running time of 55 min. I really enjoyed on the DVD, the studio session of "Stories of old" would be nice to hear the title again at a concert.
The box is in any case worth every penny and is highly recommended to any fan. More you really can not get for his money, and here you have the full load of "Sounds of the Universe". Absolute buy recommendation!
