I have installed the SSD in a workstation:
HP ZBOOK 15, Core i7-4800MQ, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Quadro K2100M (F0U65ET)
expanded to 32GB RAM and LTE card.
The installation went smoothly, the notebook side dishes no screws for mSATA slot up to.
In the SSD itself no screws are included.
After I set up the disk in Windows went to the details:
The temperature in idle surprised me at first:
40 Degrees!
Built in NB Samsung 840 Pro (256GB) only lay against it in
28 degrees.
Since the Evo-SSD itself starts only at 70 degrees to slow everything is still in the green zone.
Unfortunately (!) Is it so that the NB constantly booting the fan because of the SSD,
which was previously not so and disturb all the more because the NB in Idle was absolutely silent.
When some GB's copy, the temperature rose up to 61 degrees!
In my Rechereche several mSATA SSD's are very hot,
precisely because the mSATA ports usually only have a ungenügene ventilation.
Therefore, you should make more accurate idea before buying,
whether the NB has a sufficient cooling!
Possibly are the smaller versions of the SSD less hot because fewer chips are installed,
or non-Haswell laptops generally have better temperature - perhaps it fits better there.
As I said because my fans constantly leapt I have the SSD sent back (the same day)
Which is not my way otherwise.
For the SSD: 3 stars
For Amazon: 5 stars for the quick reversal - Thank you!
> A point deduction there for narrow consignment packaging because the packaging of the SSD was pressed.
I will now take the 2.5 "Evo 1TB Samsung or Samsung 512GB 840pro in the further selection.
