This shell is stable in any case! I've often made it on and now and she still holds. Although fits a special (some wider) cable for the headphone jack when the iPod is in the envelope, no longer pure but any normal headphone fits! When a friend who had a different shell, fit my cable, but the shell is gone broke open the second time around! Then rather the Belkin cover !!!
