Before talking about the text itself, I'd spend a few moments on the small controversy claiming that the publication of this book is a violation of privacy. As has already been said, this is a book of notes and not a diary. Besides we learn nothing absolutely hyper-mega-private shocking in this book. Personally I've always found that the people who write their lives in a newspaper, and lock out the menassent anyone touches to trucider are great narcissistic hypocrites. I think that what is written is to be read, but again, it is my humble opinion. Or about the book, it's really interesting, if you already feel a sympathy for Kurt. It's full of little cynical texts (sometimes completely incomprehensible), drawings, drafts of letters and words. It finishes it quickly and without realizing it. This is a small token of the Seattle scene, sort of grunge will. This book has strengthened my self in Nirvana. Again, if you do not like and personal nirvana, this book is not for you at all.
