Bezgl. the accuracy of the device I have on various tests on the Internet leave (eg by c't and HTW Chur), who evaluated the PM 231 in this regard positively me. Especially for standby power measurement it is important that small consumptions are measured relatively accurately.
Is displayed among others volts, amps, watts, power factor.
The unit cumulates the electricity consumption ("electric meter"), plus you can set the time and multiple rates with time. A feature that makes sense to monitor a particular consumer strand that I myself currently not need because I attach various consumers at random.
What could be improved:
- Enter the current costs rather than in the format xxx, x and xx, xx and Format x, xxx (cents format my current provider)
- Declaration of the Power Factor (PF) in the operating instructions. Actually, this is the quotient real power by the apparent power, it will be displayed by the device well in percent, at least (fluorescent) is 66 displayed for an incandescent lamp 100 and a saving bulb, huh?!?
- The display is small but readable. During follow-up device PM240 probably the digits have been enlarged, but it is also more expensive.
