Our basic problem: a 10-month-old small, crawling heir and a shedding dog. Until long we are every day several times scurried to the vacuum cleaner through the room, so that we reduce the dog hair and dust bunnies to an acceptable minimum. It should be noted that we mainly have parquet and tiled floors; only the coffee table and in front of the patio door there is a low pile carpet and Langflor-, but not cause any problems here as well.
Commissioning: Simpel - unpack, set up, go! Here you need neither the manual nor an artisan training. Who can use his cell phone or a toaster, is done with this device even without aid!
Installation situation: Thanks to this robotic vacuum cleaner of big dust Auer remains mostly in the storeroom. We have set up the charging station ("dock") under a cupboard, so that the machine is hidden. Every morning at six when the dad with dog leaves the house, the cleaner turns on automatically and scurries through the room on the ground. Neither stairs nor doors, chairs, table legs, coffee table, plant pots or floor vases appear to cause problems here.
Program: If you watch the Robotor, so you will quickly find the program pattern: the sucker first moves blind it happening, missed this seemingly "mindlessly" the entire space, detects holes and objects that he then bypasses. He slows often from previously, sometimes the Bumper also suggests something more, with not even move our floor vases. However, a small and very light wood lantern he pushes like something on the side. In further steps, he circled all obstacles, sweeps and vacuums while on walls and edges along, then moves in parallel paths the other areas, until he final once all edges and furniture surrounds and absorbs as well as the smaller hairs, crumbs, dander and fluff , With us it takes about 30-45 minutes, until a complete cleaning is completed almost 50 square meters. Then light up the lamp "Dock" on, however, the robot moves as long as his tracks until he comes at a distance of about 2m in the sphere of influence of the charging station. From this it is then lured magically like a rope and docked automatically at the station where it recharges.
Programming and start: here you can still times briefly look at the manual. The time and wake-up times can be, however, quickly enter by a little tinkering. Although we have activated the timer, a start for an (additional) cleaning is however possible at any time by pressing the "Cleaning" button.
Sucking: It is remarkable how much dust and dirt still brings out this little helper even after a pre-made "basic cleaning" from the corners. In the back there is the waste collecting, which also contains the sucker. The naturally aspirated engine is protected by a dust filter, we blow out shortly after each evacuation.
Volume: what can you say: a sucker has to suck and produced by the fan also has a certain noise. If we compare, however, this whirring, so we can not complain us with our heavy large vacuum cleaners or even with our hand vacuum cleaner. We close a door, sucking is barely noticeable and we can work undisturbed in the office or bring the little ones to bed. However, if the way work or television would, should ask before purchase if he would do so with a conventional vacuum cleaner and its soundscape and / could.
Maintenance: We are now looking forward to the continuous operation and expect added much of the device. It will be important, as long is the battery actually is and how it looks with spare parts if necessary. The Robotor was another dust filter when ... this should be clean and, if necessary replace with a new one promptly. The retreat brush should be to change regularly to a few weeks and months, but that does not bother. This is only to solve a screw, replace the old broom against new and tighten the screw again.
Conclusion: All in all, it has to purchase according to current knowledge, for us more than worth it. We have no more dog hair under the soles of your feet and lie with preference from now on with our little crawlers on the floor :) Our dog is allowed to move freely again, without the then pulls around our little one a fur with it.
