When I had the album in the hands or in the CD player, I was a little disappointed, a lot of sounds at first equal, the variety, and the catchy melodies like that the Killers were distinguished in "Hot Fuss" so missed.
Then I first put away the plate. Until the next "start" a few weeks later I came really to the taste. While sounding a few songs (Uncle Johnny for example) in my eyes still something without identity, but the rest is for the better.
The opener of the album "Sam's Town", and "Read My Mind", "For Reasons Unknown" and "Bones" are true masterpieces, where the Killers, led by the singer Brandon Flower fully demonstrate their true ability. Enter / Exitlude and give the album in addition a kind of epic approach, and make the album a little story, really awesome.
I understand those who say that the album would be much worse than the first, but which also give the Council to take some time. Then you will soon notice that "Sam's Town" though less catchy, but more ingenious and sophisticated than "Hot Fuss"!
