26/05/2014:
I had hoped that it now works better with the latest DLAN technology, as with my experiments a few years ago.
Unfortunately, it's not for me to use, but still, what ever it may be.
The house is now another. Relatively normal townhouse. Fritz box 7390 in the living room and from there I would like to just 2 floors up to the bedroom.
So far I have just attached a Fritz Repeater 300E in the 1st floor and in the bedroom come from originally 300 Mbit times after all, still about 20 MBit to.
But since I want to use in future SAT> IP and want to stream movies from a variety of NAS in the living room, because it can already be somewhat scarce.
So I thought to try the new Devolo dLAN 650+. If at least 50 MBit reach the top, I would be happy and that should really be there.
Unfortunately not ... effective came in the end to 10-14 MBit, which I thought was very disappointing.
So I was still faster by wireless repeater.
I have tried different outlets, but can not detect any differences.
May well be that it is doing better in some specific situations, but unlike WLAN, the requirements are to achieve a reasonable rate but probably very special and you can not just assume that you end up 10% or more of the 650 reached MBit.
And now I still have no solution min. To get 50 Mbit in the 2nd floor. In between, I've even tried Ethernet over Coax times. But there I was with max. 5 Mbit off even worse.
Two wireless repeater connected in series at the end even worse than just one, because the bandwidth is probably halved with each subsequent repeater.
So if anyone still knows a solution to rausholen more ...
