This is my third Oral-B Pro. The two previous models have both still works perfectly. Only the battery power was so weak that I had to replace the handpieces. Incredibly, that in this price range electric brushes (Made in Germany) no clever lithium ion battery installs. How to read on the floor of the handpieces, Ni-MH batteries were installed again. When the battery in the handpiece so again as long as the battery holds the two predecessors, I can re-set in three years a new toothbrush or perform any of the available on the internet craft instructions for manual battery replacement.
Pitiful performance for a premium model of a manufacturer with quality! This smells but out for planned obsolescence!
I've understand that Oral-B / Braun would like to earn money. They do well on the sale of the brush attachments. If in three years from other manufacturers, I will offer a similar brush with better battery change. Too bad! I am otherwise happy with the brush. At least it was produced in Germany. which is now indeed rare.
That there is another way I look at my electric razor. Here, the battery lasts about 8 years without a noticeable loss of performance.
