The album "Mono Masters" appears here for the first time on vinyl and is also available separately. Previously, it was only part of the "Beatles In Mono CD Box", and consisted of a 2-CD gatefold cover with a photo of the Beatles in the centerfold. All liner notes were an extra booklet containing the information for the rest of the albums of the box. The album "Mono Masters" is the equivalent of 1988 appeared "Past Masters Volumes One & Two" double-LP, which was revised for new LP 2009 CD and 2012 and contains mainly since all appeared stereo versions. Today there is technically corrected the problem and "Rubber Soul" still does not appear with a little more bass, but as loud as on the original tape, which is certainly a good thing!
How now sound recordings? You can hear the songs with full sound and it turns no boredom effect a that one often finds in mono, because you miss the spatial stereo panorama. The differences in the mixtures of stereo to mono as you can hear from the restore CDs since 2009 are also described here again in the book and invite a course to to hear this.
Is Mono only a hype? The Mono-Set was still planned by EMI, but it seems that Universal longer listens to the wishes of the fans and with the presentation in this box now presents to us the original mono sound. And even if we had never heard as stereo generation earlier deliberately mono, so the time is ripe but really, once to present the different mixtures and to listen with pleasure.
