Unfortunately I have never handled a professional Steadycam as the brand models cost around 500-600 euros and none pricewise rankommt this, I thought to myself, I'll try it a try and test whether the shots are really that much better.
At this price I did not expect much and already expected with poor processing or otherwise problems.
But I was very pleasantly surprised at my luck, that really is a bargain compared to the other manufacturers.
The stand itself is very robust, free-running without any problems at the joints and works perfectly, all the recordings I've made so far are very quiet and no more compared to the shots by hand, in which it always acts as if we are currently in an earthquake.
The setting of the weights and the plate on which the camera sits is very easy per se, you have only the first time a lot of it has to be rumjustieren found the correct location.
For me it has lasted about half an hour, until I had the correct settings, and then I just did 2 notches on the points and voila and screw it lasts just a shake.
Positive noticed is me, the type of the parking wheel, in you a small spring is additionally used which presses the out and in screw a small lock in the camera mount, so when you have solved the wheel and inadvertently tilts the camera does not fall off the track, but is securely held by this spring and the lock.
That will probably, very well thought along one or the other to save the camera.
Nice is also the case with the Steadycam can be transported safely, is indeed hardly used by me but is a gladly seen extra, the gift or the focus ring was at first not in my order there, but was after a brief contact with the support promptly forwarded and arrived after a week in Hong Kong, my email was answered quickly and everything was cleared easily.
The only negative thing I imagine would be that the closures might wear after very frequent use something, I have the Steadycam now bombenfest just 2 weeks and everything holds to this day.
As a conclusion:
Tips steadycam at competitive prices!
Each of the not professionally (I do not know how much different brand models, many are identical) is Blazed and as an accessory wants to test times, without having to invest too much, which is herewith a Steadycam set aside that fulfills all wishes.
Processing super, super handling, stabilizing super, highly recommended!
// Small addendum:
I use the Steadycam with my Canon EOS 600D.
// Small addendum # 2:
Now after a year of use, I can then my written word only once to confirm.
It is still good, the closures still hold bombproof so nothing is worn or so, well, most are adjusted only once (unless you have a lot of different camera models) but also and at the plate, the relatively often hold to be made top.
The hinges are also great, is really nothing to complain about, good thing!
Just hurts to see that I paid back then almost 30 more, my wallet is sad but is clear that it is cheaper.
I do not know if anything has changed it, it looks definitely out yet the same, only with branding. (Mine has no branding or some kind of imprint, only the scale on the top plate and my rubber grip is blue).
