I had the drill already bought last year to drill for a garden fence foundation holes for concreting. So far I have not come to the unit to try ... except yesterday. Two trees had to be sunk in the ground. We have the top layer of soil an enormous amount of stones, in the layer including resistant clay. The drill has be impressed by the nature hardly, though was with the layer of clay a little more force is required, yet it went inexorably into the ground. In between I have to drill several times pulled out and the earth knocked into the screw aside so I can see how deep I'm indoors, or to prevent the Earth falling into the hole again later. All in all ... a very handy device and my fears that the iron has not withstand the heavy soil was not confirmed.
