This story arc brings together the episodes "Action Comics" # 866-870, written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Gary Frank in 2008 (it was published in French in the magazine "DC Universe special issue" # 18 of Panini comics editions) . He tells how Superman meets for the first time the true Brainiac. But more, it develops essential elements for the continuation of the mythological character it is unfortunately not possible for me to reveal without ruining the whole point of this reading. But we must know: met in these five episodes an impressive number of major and decisive events for those who want to follow the story of the most famous superheroes. The problem is: Impossible, therefore, not to succumb to the desire to read more. But be aware that this suite, available in Superman: New Krypton (or in French in Superman: New Krypton), becomes a rather long crossover, forcing the reader to follow various series. Read "Brainiac" is a double-edged experience, which on one hand is revealed so involved that grabs us as a brilliant TV show, but on the other hand, forces us to fall into the trap of crossover. ..
The story itself is really a wonder. Johns uses reverse engineering continuity with his consistency at the unveiling revelations of huge piles reader as each other about the past and the origins of all this mythology. In only a few episodes, he manages without drowning explanation to make this dense and fascinating history. Further east, each character is deeply inhabited and emotion work in all circumstances. Expect, if not to shed a few tears, at least very hard to squeeze your comic book! The graphic part is not left behind. Gary Frank Book planks of extreme perfection. We find the bias already prized by the same artist to give respectively Superman and Lois Lane perfectly recognizable features actors Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder, immortalized in the Superman Richard Donner released in 1978. The question now is unbearable: Will I resist the temptation to get me a result of these adventures?
